HGS Universal Design for Learners

I'm so excited to join the Universal Design for Learning professional educators cohort at Harvard Graduate School of Education where we are deep diving into the concept of "tight goals and flexible means" to set challenging and sophisticated goals for learners.

As members of the UDL professional learning community, we leverage the effectiveness of designing learning environments based on cognitive science of how our brains interact with the environment to form neural pathways.

Our brains are as unique as our fingertips.

The UDL framework supports us to relocate the ‘barrier’ from within the student to within the design of the learning opportunity, emphasizing that it is the design rather than the learner that needs to be ‘fixed.’
