What We Do
We envision a society where schools are rooted in purposeful inclusion for all learners and where all learners are positioned to close expectation gaps for people with disabilities.
The Kaleidoscope Collaborative (TKC) is a disability-centered equity design consultancy that designs innovative partnerships between schools and community organizations to help schools achieve richly inclusive learning experiences for all learners.

TKC received grant funding to pilot the use of Universal Design for Learning framework in a neurodiverse setting.

TKC provides resources to educate families about IDEA and school accommodations

TKC is a proud partner of families and community based organizations to pilot disability inclusive services and supports so that all families thrive.

Patrinia extends her expertise internationally in Ghana, West Africa as a neurordiversity advocate and educator.
TKC partners with community organizations like public libraries to bring disability awareness and inclusion experiences to children in schools to create safer, bully-free schools.
TKC is grateful for collaborations with organizations like NASA to elevate the importance of neurodiversity in advancing space exploration and other STEM fields.

Patrinia Baksmaty
A mom to three spirited neurodiverse children and the founder of The Kaleidoscope Collaborative.
Before motherhood, she served twice-exceptional learners as Head of School at a nature-based private school for gifted learners in Houston. Before that, she co-founded KIPP King Collegiate High School - the first KIPP high school on the west coast. In 2017, her middle child was diagnosed as autistic, with hyperlexia (precocious reading ability), and with a severe speech delay.
She is an expert in topics related to neurodiversity, special education, and inclusion. She consults with families to support IEP development, with schools to design inclusive school structures, programs, and policies, and in her HomeSchoolLAB, she provides 1:1 academic intervention to special education clients.
